Final Portfolio

This portfolio will display multi-modal artifacts and reflections for each of the 6 NYSED course competencies. These competencies include:

  1. Categories of disabilities
  2. Identification and remediation of disabilities
  3. The special education process, State/Federal special education laws/regulations, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
  4. Individualizing instruction (IEP, Instructional strategies)
  5. Applying positive behavioral supports and interventions to address student and classroom management needs (PBIS)
  6. Effective practice for planning and designing co-teaching and collaboration with peers

About Me

My name is Madeline Peters and I am a senior at the University at Buffalo majoring in Mathematics with a concentration in education. I am currently working to gain my teaching certification in order to work as a middle/high school math teacher.
