Final Portfolio
This portfolio will display multi-modal artifacts and reflections for each of the 6 NYSED course competencies. These competencies include:
- Categories of disabilities
- Identification and remediation of disabilities
- The special education process, State/Federal special education laws/regulations, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Individualizing instruction (IEP, Instructional strategies)
- Applying positive behavioral supports and interventions to address student and classroom management needs (PBIS)
- Effective practice for planning and designing co-teaching and collaboration with peers
About Me
My name is Madeline Peters and I am a senior at the University at Buffalo majoring in Mathematics with a concentration in education. I am currently working to gain my teaching certification in order to work as a middle/high school math teacher.
